Train the AI
The AI answers only from what you give it. Until it has sources it will say it does not have that information and offer a human.
Go to AI → Knowledge base (also called Training).
Source types
- Website — paste a URL. Loomi crawls the page (and optionally its linked pages), splits the text into chunks and keeps them updated.
- Document — upload a PDF or Word file. Policies, price lists, delivery areas, opening hours and how-to-order guides work well.
- Q&A — a question and its exact answer. Best for short facts the AI must get right.
- Text — any free text.
Strict, flexible or suggestive
Each source has a response mode that tells the AI how closely to stick to it:
- Strict — quote the content as written. Use for prices, policies and legal wording.
- Flexible — may rephrase, must keep the meaning. The default.
- Suggestive — context only; the AI may combine and expand.
Tips that make a difference
- Write the facts the AI needs explicitly: branch names, days of the week, hours, delivery fees per area. The AI is told never to invent details a source does not state.
- Keep one topic per document. Five focused documents beat one 40-page file.
- After uploading, ask the AI the questions customers ask and check the Sources shown under each reply.
- Products come from your Shopify or WooCommerce catalog, not from documents.
